In this course, you will learn about the protozoan, helminth and arthropod parasites that cause disease in humans and our companion-animals.  The course covers: parasite identification (microscopy and laboratory tests); host-range (species-specificity); site-of-infection (tissue and organ); parasite pathogenicity (disease potential); modes of transmission (spread of infections); differential diagnosis; treatment and control (cure and prevention).
